JOSHUA CHIN

Kingston-Born cinematographer based in Los Angeles, CA, Joshua Chin graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television. Besides learning the trade and fundamentals of cinematography, Joshua has learned to express himself, sculpting visual stories through light, shadow, and motion. Developing a skill for capturing emotion, he brings ideas to life while always serving the heart of the story.

Joshua has developed experience working across multiple roles within the camera and lighting departments, including camera operating, focus pulling, gaffing, and assisting on professional productions. This hands-on experience has given him a strong technical understanding of camera systems, lighting workflows, set etiquette, and the collaborative nature of filmmaking. Comfortable working alongside directors, cinematographers, gaffers, and camera crews, he approaches every production with professionalism, adaptability, and a willingness to solve problems. Joshua performs well under pressure and believes that every challenge on set has a solution. No matter the limitations of time, budget, or location, he is committed to finding a creative path forward so the story is told and the client leaves satisfied.

Joshua loves to explore life and everything it brings. With hobbies such as hiking, reading, martial arts, football, and outdoor activities, he believes in the power of a sound mind and body connection, bringing the human experience into filmmaking.
